No. Most patients can schedule directly with our office. If additional medical evaluation is needed, our team will recommend an appropriate referral.
A referral may be recommended if testing or symptoms suggest that additional medical evaluation is needed. Examples may include sudden hearing changes, hearing loss in one ear, dizziness, ear pain, drainage, or other concerns that require further assessment by a physician or specialist.
A cognitive screening is a simple, non-invasive assessment that helps evaluate areas such as memory, attention, processing, and communication. The information gathered may help guide recommendations and identify whether additional evaluation may be beneficial.
Only with your consent. If you choose, results can be shared with your primary care physician to support coordinated, patient-centered care.
Research suggests that hearing and cognitive function are connected. Difficulty hearing can increase listening effort and may affect communication, social engagement, and overall quality of life. This is one reason hearing evaluations and cognitive screenings can be valuable tools in understanding a person's overall communication needs.
Hearing aids do not cure hearing loss. They are designed to improve access to sounds and speech, helping many people communicate more comfortably and confidently in everyday situations.
Our evaluations and screenings help identify hearing and communication challenges and determine appropriate recommendations. When additional medical evaluation is needed, referrals are recommended to the appropriate healthcare provider.
We offer advanced hearing technology solutions from leading manufacturers, including Starkey, Phonak, Jabra, and custom hearing solutions selected to meet each patient's unique needs and lifestyle.
